Cali no long is the queen of fisher-women.
She has contracted poison ivy and one would think her life here on earth is O.V.E.R. When I Web Md diagnosed her and gave her heartbreaking news, she started sobbing. You would think someone killed her dog. Well, not her dog per say. We gave her away 2 weeks after we got her. I'm using this as more of a saying.
It started spreading this am and when I broke that to her, the tears/sobs soon followed. Cali decided she needed a second opinion. She made me take her to Doc's Drugs so the pharmacist could verify. Sure enough, it's poison ivy and it has spread up her arm. $40 dollars later, the pharmacist assured me it would be gone by Monday.
In the meantime, Cali has decided she cannot use her arm. We went swimming today and she kept jumping off the diving board; she would swim back with one arm in the air. She couldn't eat her soup for dinner tonight either. She was just way too concerned that the poison ivy would spread down her hand, onto her spoon, and into her mouth. She would rather be "safe than sorry", so she decided to forgo her meal.
She will not, and I repeat, WILL NOT, ever go fishing again. Maybe after months of therapy and high doses of hydrocortisone cream and benadryl, she will change her mind :)
