A LOT has gone on in the Roy household the past couple of weeks. For starters, Cali had her first school program. They had practiced for weeks leading up to it, and I will say, they truly did a great job! It was absolutely adorable to hear their precious little voices sing Christmas songs :) I sat there, watching her sing, and thought "am I really old enough for this!?!" I have a kid old enough to, #1. be in school, and #2. have school programs. It felt kind of wild :) I will say, that as I sat there and watched her, I had a bit of a tear in my eye. Even on her most diva-filled days, she is a true gem.
ALSO- we got a new little addition to the family :) I bought Cali and Noah an english bulldog for Christmas. I named her Elizabeth Taylor. I came home, surprised the kids, and introduced them to our new little bundle of joy. After I shared her name with Cali, she looks at me and says...."Mmmmm....how about Lola instead". So, Lola it it. I find it very interesting; Cali is scared of her and Noah is absolutely in love with her and can't get enough. If you know my kids, you know that this is the COMPLETE opposite to how things usually are. I mean, for crying out loud, Noah couldn't even put on his own Halloween costume because he was scared of it! :)
Lastly, we celebrated Christmas with a bang. Lots and lots of running, gift opening, eating, gift opening, crying, oh and did I mention gift opening? Cali got a Wii, a few games for her Wii, and a pink controller for her Wii; after the present opening was completed I asked her what her favorite thing was (obviously knowing it was going to be the Wii or an accessory of it). She looks at me, and without skipping a beat and says, "well.....it's not the Wii". Checkmate.
Total Cuteness!
Please note, the teachers made her bows for Christmas and she felt it appropriate to wear both of them on the sides of her head. I will say it accents the quarter inch bangs quite nicely.
Sweet Lola Elizabeth :)
This was directly after he drop kicked her and she went chasing after him.
Yeah. That's how we do it.
They are truly two peas in a pod.
Forgive her. I think she had diarrhea.
"Yeah I'm violent. So what."
"I'm here to kick some ass"
"CALI!!! Get over here...NOW. We are getting a freaking picture together. It's Christmas for Christ sakes!!!!!"
Wait...wait...got it...got it. Nope.
A little blurry...but you can see 3 faces. We'll call that a success.
