Well- I wasn't going to post anything on this since I saw that Kelsey already did....but I simply couldn't resist. We went to an Organ Donor Run in Madison, WI the other week in honor of our cousin Kelly who gave the gift of life in January of 2000. It was truly a great experience; as for the ride up, well....thats a different story (please see pictures below to clarify)
Things of interest that happened on race day:
1) I clipped two peoples feet with my big freaking stroller. I didn't feel nearly as bad after I saw dad clip a woman pushing a wheelchair with Kelsey's stroller (I hope he went to confession after that)
2) I about had a nervous breakdown with as slow as people were going! An hour for a 5k race!?! Upon coming to the finish line, people were cheering "yay! good for you....almost finished- don't give up!". Thats nice and everything, but NO ONE should be cheered for if it takes you over an hour to go 3 miles.
3) Cali had to pee half way through the race (big shock). Thanks to my cousin Christina for helping watch Noah while Cali went behind a tree and peed like a boy- good as new.
4) There was a tv camera crew at the finish line. They brought the cameras down on Cali and Noah in the stroller (Noah had Cali in a choke hold and Cali was fish-hooking Noah's lip).
5) The ride up was WAY worse than Kelsey explained it on her blog :)
