1. I won a goldfish. For Cali of course. I was shocked when the little sucker made it home alive after Noah bounced it around all evening. I decided that we should "set it free" after it started eating its own poop the next day. We had a Free Willy moment the next day while releasing it into Roy's pond. It was touching.
2. Cali hated me after I made her leave the fair. At 9:00 at night. Both days.
3. Noah played the squirt gun game so many times, the carney stared calling him by name. I knew it was time to go when we walked by and he said, "Hey! There's my buddy. Sit down here Noah and lets play!".
4. I won another fish. For Noah of course. I didn't even want to mess around with this one. I made him flush it down the toilet when we got home. And yes, it was alive when he did it.
5. I bet we spent 500 freaking dollars at the fair this week. At least we have some amazing stuffed animals to show for it. They will be on display right next to my cherished Precious Moments figurines. Thank God it won't be coming around until next year.
