Months in a nutshell

This is how I start every blog post. "I'm terrible at keeping everyone updated....I suck at updating....etc....etc....etc.". So this is just a given at this point; so here is a summary of the past few months since my last post.

#1. Cali is a vegetarian. She refuses to eat meat because "she can and animals have feelings or something like that". For example, I made hot dogs on the grill tonight. She refused to eat them until I explained to her that they are actually meat free hot dogs (granted, that was a lie....but they are turkey dogs....it really doesn't even count). Then she was so proud of herself for eating "meat-free baked beans" with her veggie hotdog. Yes Cali, just eat over that big, fat piece of bacon sitting on top of them.

#2. Good news: Noah has really started talking lately. Bad news: he is big into walking up to people as saying, "Me hate you". First of all Einstein...it's "I" hate you. Second of all, I'm going to karate chop Cali in the throat for teaching him that :)

#3. Noah peed on the potty the other day. Of course he did this at the babysitters and not at home. I decided a couple of weeks ago to just buy him underware and see how it goes. I threw the diapers away and put him in some cute Buzz Lightyear undies :) He pissed on the floor twice and jumped around in it- strike one. Then he went up to Cali's room, went behind her bed and pissed in the corner, AND THEN came downstairs with wet underware, totally unaffected- strike two and three. Needless to say he's back in diapers.

#4. The kids had pictures the other day. Cali was in her regular mood and Noah wouldn't put the f-ing Thomas the Train toys down to get a picture. I'm certain the only ones taken were of Cali with her freaking arms crossed looking like a real treat and Noah screaming that I was trying to take his toys away. I drove all the way to St. Joseph to get these; needless to say the whole picture taking day went a lot better when I played it in my head before we left home. Never.Doing.That.Again.

#5. I read a great book. "Heaven is for real". I read this in an evening; it was kind of my realization that I am getting old. My dad took the kids last night and I stayed in all night and read a book :) Anyways, buy it, read it, and share it. Totally worth it.

#6. I took a securities exam, the Series 3, and passed. It was the hardest freaking test I have ever taken and am sure glad it's done and over with.

Well, that about sums it up. I will post pictures later tonight (after my monsters go to sleep- so probably 1:00 am :)
