Life so far this summer......

I am finally starting a blog- I have a million crazy stories about the shenanigans that Cali and Noah pull and felt it only appropriate to document and share with everyone. I hope this site serves as a place you can visit when your life seems crazy and look at ours and realize we are WAY more dysfunctional than any of you :)

To bring you up to speed......these are the happenings in the Roy household so far this summer....

1. Noah took his first trip to the Emergency Room while I was on vacation (thanks Grandma Lori). It was only a minor GASH on his face which I'm sure will scar and leave him feeling self-conscious for the rest of his life (again, thanks Grandma Lori) No...but really, he did take a trip to the ER, and has a little cut on his head. He feels its appropriate to lift up his hair EVERYTIME HE SEES SOMEONE NEW to show off his battle scar. What a drama queen!

2. Cali was lucky enough to be in Jenna and Justin Schroens wedding a couple of weeks ago. Things went....well....better than I expected??? For starters, when Jenna asked Cali to be in the wedding she informed Jenna that, well...."she thought she was going to be busy, so she may want to find another little girl". Well...from there you can imagine how this was going to play out. Right off the bat Cali was upset that the dress Jenna picked out wasn't "pink and purple with a heart made out of pearls and diamonds and rubies on the top and gold coins on the bottom of the skirt".

Well- after working those minor details out, the day of the wedding was finally here. Cali was in MELTDOWN mode ALL DAY. When she woke up she realized she DID NOT want to be in the wedding. I believe the dialogue went as follows, "Mom, Jesus Christ....I just can't do it. I mean, I never get to just relax!" (Dont worry, I made her appologize to Jesus).

Besides picking her butt on the alter and mouthing "MOM....CAN WE GO HOME NOW" about 15 times, it was a complete success :)

I'd say that's enough for the first post. Besides, Cali is trying to gouge Noah's eyes out with quarters as we speak.
